Seattle Apartment Rental
Cancer Connection has rented a one-bedroom apartment near the Virginia Mason and Swedish Medical Centers in Seattle. This apartment will be available on a first-come basis for SE Alaska Cancer Connection clients that have qualified for our travel assistance program (see availability and forms below.)
Short-term and long-term stays are considered equally and depend on availability. ( New: We request a minimum four-night stay. We will prioritize apt availability with surgery and treatment before regular check-ups.) Nightly rates are $85. Long-term rates (more than 2 weeks) drop(s)the price to $65 a night.
This furnished apartment comes with 1 twin bed & 1 full bed, linens, kitchen cooking items and couch, recliner, and TV. It has been decorated and furnished by volunteer donations.
There is a no cleaning fee associated with each stay at this time. However, we retain the right to bill for damages or excessive cleaning charges.
The unit has an upstairs roof lounge with free wi-fi and bbq on the roof deck and a fabulous view of Seattle. In addition, the units are pet-friendly and have a dog walking area on the roof.
Parking is available by contacting the building management and has a charge associated (space available basis). The building has 24 hr. security and is open during regular business hours. Late or early arrivals will be given a contact number for keys( New: through parcel post with 3 days prior request for accommodation. The apt building is not accessible after 10pm as the garage is locked.)
There is a binder in the apartment noting local groceries, pharmacies, and eating establishments. The building staff is friendly and available 7 days a week.
The unit is in walking distance (less than 4 blocks) from both medical centers (corner of 8th and Madison). It is on the 8th floor with lots of light and an exceptional view of the city. Elevator accessible. Amazonfresh delivers directly to the apt building daily to make shopping easy.
We are thrilled to offer this apartment as a program to help fill a need expressed by survivors. This does not count toward the $750 travel assistance program; this is a separate program for our clients.
We reserve the right to cancel any reservation with one week's advance notice if the Board makes a decision of a priority placement. This apartment is only available to clients seeking treatment or testing for cancer-related treatment. If our unit is not available, we suggest you can also book the Baroness Hotel, Inn at Virginia Mason, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance housing or any local hotel.
To book your date, call 907-796-2273 and leave a message or email admin@cancerconnectionak.org and it will be forwarded to the Cancer Connection apartment coordinator. Please include the dates of your request and a contact email and phone number and allow 48 hrs for a response.
Do not contact the management at the apt. for reservations, it must be through Cancer Connection. You will be billed by Cancer Connection for your stay at the address provided on your Patient Travel Assistance form. Scholarship requests will be considered for those without the ability to pay our rates. We hope that users will leave the apartment ready for the next guest to minimize our cleaning costs.
